Lakeshore Fossil Hunting

1:00 PM  –  3:00 PM

Location: Kenosha Public Museum - then off-site locations.

Participants can sign-up ahead of time or on-site at the Museum the day of the program.

Price is per person, free for FOM Members. 

Participants will meet at the Kenosha Public Museum for a brief introduction and then depart to the first hunting spot. Participants must provide their own transportation to sites.

430 million years ago, what is now the city of Kenosha was part of a tropical reef in a warm, shallow sea teeming with life. And the evidence is still here! Join Curator of Education, Nick Wiersum, in an exciting hunt for fossils along Lake Michigan where you will discover clues to Kenosha's ancient past!
