Homeschool Tuesdays - Cultural Christmas

One adult is allowed it join their learners for an interactive family experience. Due to room sizes, the student and one parent will be admitted. 

Each program's date, age range, location of the program, and theme are different, see below. 

The program is 60 minutes, with only 20 students per session, and must be pre-registered. Please enter the child's age at registration.

Relief Prints and Tour of Together Again Exhibit (for ages 10-12, but all are welcome)
Tuesday, February 20th

Tour the new exhibit to learn how one family practices cultivating a creative home through multiple generations and see their impact within Kenosha. See paintings, sculpture and fiber artwork on displace. After the tour make some of your own relief prints in our classroom.

Midwest in the Civil War (for ages 10-14, but all are welcome)
Tuesday, March 12th

The tour uses immersive displaces, artifacts, and hands-on activities to teach visitors the important roles the Upper Midwestern states played before, during, and after the War, and how the results of the Civil War still impact the lives of Americans today. 

Mammoth Mystery (for ages 10-12, but all are welcome)
Tuesday, April 16th

Help us solve the mystery of the museums' Mammoth by untangling a scientific dispute about how old it really is. Use techniques Archaeologists use in the field to help date the Mammoth accurately. 

 

Online sales end two days prior to class due to supply needs for the instructors, please call the Museums (262-653-4140) to inquire if registrations are still available.

 

Cancellations and Refunds

*A full refund will be issued if the Kenosha Public Museum, Dinosaur Discovery Museum, or Civil War Museum cancels a workshop or camp.

*All refunds requested within 72 hours of the program are subject to a $10 processing fee.

*No refunds are offered on or after the day a workshop or camp begins.

*Class cancellations can happen if enrollment minimums are not met two days prior to the event. You will be contacted via phone or email if your event is canceled.

 

If unforeseen circumstances (i.e. weather, power outages, instructor illness) occur within 72 hours of the workshop or camp and the program must be canceled, the museum will do its best to reschedule or provide a voucher to take a program of a similar or same cost.
